Skenes' previous season stats speak volumes - 170 strikeouts in 133 innings, translating to an impressive 11.3 strikeouts per nine innings. The Pirates' management has given him the green light for an unrestricted workload, setting the stage for a potential 210+ strikeout season.
Greene's Quest for Consistency
Cincinnati's Hunter Greene brings electric stuff to the mound, consistently touching triple digits with his fastball. His career numbers tell a compelling story - ranking third in strikeout percentage (29.6%) among starters with 300+ innings since 2022.
Despite injury setbacks, Greene's ability to rack up strikeouts remains unquestioned. Last season's 169 strikeouts in 150.2 innings demonstrated his efficiency when healthy.
Imanaga's Sophomore Campaign
