Kevin Durant could be on the move again as the Phoenix Suns are planning to entertain trade offers for the superstar forward in the coming weeks. The "New York Knicks" might emerge as a potential destination in what would be a blockbuster summer deal.

"The New York Knicks already fired Tom Thibodeau after losing in the conference finals, but if they're looking for another scapegoat, Karl-Anthony Towns has certainly gotten plenty of heat around the internet the last couple days," wrote Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey when proposing the potential trade.

The "Knicks" reportedly already showed interest in Durant before last season's trade deadline. Now, after their elimination in the Eastern Conference Finals, New York's front office appears motivated to revisit those discussions.

Bailey's proposed trade would send Durant to the "Knicks" in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns, rookie forward Pacome Dadiet, and a first-round pick in 2032. The deal makes sense on multiple levels.

For the "Knicks", acquiring Durant would mean shedding Towns' massive contract that runs through 2027-28 and pays him $61 million in the final year. They'd also gain a more dynamic scorer who offers greater defensive mobility than Towns has shown.

Interestingly, the "Suns" could benefit significantly as well. Towns would pair with Devin Booker, his former Kentucky teammate from a decade ago. The two are reportedly close friends, potentially creating better chemistry in Phoenix.

The additional assets - a young forward in Dadiet (a 2024 first-round selection) plus a future first-round pick - would give the "Suns" flexibility for roster building in the coming years while remaining competitive in the Western Conference.

Will the "Knicks" pull the trigger on another blockbuster after their conference finals disappointment? And is Durant, now 36, still the missing piece for a championship run in New York?
