Bill Haney has rekindled his feud with Ryan Garcia, taking another shot at the boxer over his positive Ostarine test that clouded the April 2024 fight against Devin Haney. The father and manager of undefeated champion Devin hasn't let the doping scandal fade from public memory, even as Garcia recovers from recent hand surgery.

The latest chapter in this ongoing conflict emerged right after Garcia's defeat to Rolando Romero at the Fatal Fury event in New York, where he competed despite a significant hand injury that later required medical intervention.

"Ostarine Break?" Haney sarcastically commented on social media, responding to Oscar De La Hoya's suggestion that Garcia should take a year off to recover and reorganize his life.

Garcia's performance against Romero revealed his compromised physical state – throwing just 17.5 punches per round and landing only 48 power punches throughout the entire fight. Numbers don't lie, do they?

Following the disappointing showing, Garcia himself acknowledged his mistake, stating he "should have canceled the fight" rather than competing injured. The boxer has since undergone surgery with renowned specialist Dr. Stephen Shin, who has previously treated boxing stars like Canelo Alvarez and Vasyl Lomachenko.

Interestingly, De La Hoya's advice for his fighter comes from personal experience. "He hasn't lost anything. He has to fix his injuries, but most importantly, he has to sort out his life," the promoter explained, adding, "I lived it. Everybody is telling him things. He has to breathe, take a step back, analyze and reorganize his life."

But for the Haney camp, this rings hollow amid unresolved questions about the Ostarine situation from the April bout – a fight where Garcia managed to knock down Devin three times despite the later controversy.

As for Garcia, he appears focused on recovery, recently sharing a photo of his operated hand with a simple message: "I'll be back." Will this enforced break give him time to address both his physical and reputation issues? The boxing world is watching.
