Jake Paul is reportedly furious with heavyweight legend Mike Tyson after seeing the former champion enjoying himself at various events despite their postponed boxing match. The highly anticipated clash between Paul and Tyson was originally scheduled for this month in Texas but was pushed back to November 15 due to Tyson suffering from an ulcer flare-up.

Jake Paul’s Discontent

Paul, who will now face former UFC fighter Mike Perry on July 20, has expressed his frustration over Tyson’s activities. "He's doing great and Jake is p*** because he sees in Europe, living life, doing appearances, celebrating his birthday and he's like, 'I thought he was injured, what's going on?',"** said Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian.

Tyson’s Recovery and Training

"I talked to team Tyson yesterday and they said he's back, not doing boxing training but doing strength and conditioning and he feels great," Bidarian added.

The fight between Paul and Tyson has faced criticism due to the 30-year age gap between the two fighters. However, Bidarian defended the bout, pointing out that "anyone can get an ulcer, or an injury." He emphasized that the age difference actually makes the fight more intriguing.

Age as the Equalizer

"Mike Tyson and Jake Paul make sense because of the age, from my perspective. If Mike was in his early 30s, given Jake’s experience, there’s no sense to that fight. Age is the equalising factor," Bidarian explained.

Comparing their careers, Bidarian noted that at age 27, Tyson had a record of 40-1, while Paul boasts a 9-1 record. He highlighted that Paul's four years as a professional boxer versus Tyson's 14 years at the same age levels the playing field.

Looking Forward to November

The fight is set to feature eight two-minute rounds and will be Tyson’s first fight since his exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. Tyson's last professional fight was almost 20 years ago when he quit on his stool after five rounds against Kevin McBride.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the match, which promises to be a thrilling encounter between the youthful energy of Jake Paul and the seasoned experience of Mike Tyson.
