"We knew it was a do-or-die situation, and the team responded exceptionally well," said USA coach Karch Kiraly. "Annie Drews was phenomenal, and the entire squad showed tremendous character."
Road to Paris Olympics
With this victory, the USA women's volleyball team continues to build momentum as they prepare for the Paris Olympics. Having already secured their spot last year, the focus now shifts to fine-tuning their strategies and maintaining peak performance levels.
The Volleyball Nations League has also confirmed the remaining teams set to compete in Paris: Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, France, Italy, Japan, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, and Türkiye. Each team earned their respective bids through a series of rigorous qualifiers, setting the stage for an exciting Olympic tournament.
