A violent confrontation between rival football supporters in Bergamo has ended with fatal consequences. A 26-year-old Atalanta supporter was fatally stabbed in the early hours of the morning on a street leading to Atalanta's stadium.

The incident occurred around 1 AM when groups allegedly supporting Inter Milan and Atalanta clashed. Local police responded quickly to the scene, arresting a 19-year-old suspect believed to be responsible for the stabbing. Authorities also recovered the weapon used in the attack just meters from where the victim was found.

According to witnesses at the scene, the deadly altercation began inside a bar near the Gewiss Stadium over football-related disputes before spilling onto the surrounding streets. The victim was reportedly a regular in Atalanta's Curva Nord, one of the most passionate supporter sections at the Bergamo stadium.

The confrontation quickly escalated as both groups armed themselves with improvised weapons including sticks, stones, bottles, and knives.
