Suso will join his hometown club "Cadiz" in early July after his contract with "Sevilla" expires at the end of June. The 31-year-old Spanish right winger has agreed to a four-year deal with the second-division side.
"Cadiz" announced the signing through their official website and social media with a simple yet meaningful message: "Suso returns home." Born in Cadiz, the player's career comes full circle as he rejoins the club where it all began.
Interestingly, Suso started his professional journey in "Cadiz's" youth academy before Liverpool's reserves picked him up in the summer of 2010 for a modest €60,000. His career then took him across Europe with stints at "Almeria," "Milan," "Genoa," and most recently "Sevilla."
During his time with the Andalusian club, Suso lifted the Europa League trophy twice – not bad for a player who initially left Spain as a teenager. His overall contribution to "Sevilla" stands at 10 goals and 20 assists across 173 appearances in all competitions.
The move represents a significant coup for "Cadiz" as they aim to return to the top flight. Can Suso's experience and hometown connection help propel them back to La Liga? We'll find out when he officially dons the yellow shirt next month.
