Lev Koshevatsky has extended his stay with Ukrainian basketball club "Cherkasy Monkeys" after signing a new deal that runs through the 2025/26 season. The club's press service announced the agreement this week, though financial details remain undisclosed.

"I've found my rhythm with this team and believe we can accomplish even more together in the coming seasons," – Koshevatsky might have shared upon signing.

Koshevatsky established himself as the true engine of the Monkeys' backcourt last season. His statistical contribution speaks for itself – averaging 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and an impressive 5.9 assists per game. Not just solid numbers. He became the team's undisputed assist leader, with his overall efficiency rating reaching 12.5 points.

By the way, the "Cherkasy Monkeys" front office has been busy securing their core rotation for the upcoming campaign. Several other key players have also inked new deals with the club – Andriy Agafonov, Kyrylo Marchenko, and Nazar Kholod will all continue donning the monkey uniform.

The team continues preparations for the new season with a clear strategy – maintain continuity with proven performers. Will this approach help them climb higher in the Ukrainian basketball hierarchy? The foundation certainly seems solid.
