Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih kept their hopes alive for a fourth-place finish in the Ukrainian Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Obolon Kyiv in the 29th round of fixtures.

Midfielder Artur Mykityshyn expressed his satisfaction with the result in what was the team's final home match of the current campaign.

"We're very happy to secure the win today," Mykityshyn said following the match. "It was our last home game this season and we wanted to give our supporters something positive. We're extremely grateful for their continued backing—their support means everything to us."

The victory keeps Kryvbas in contention for fourth spot in the league table heading into the final round of matches. According to Statbet performance analytics, the race for fourth place remains one of the most competitive battles in this season's UPL, with form indicators suggesting any of the three contending teams could secure the position.

"We're fighting until the end for fourth place—we still have a chance," Mykityshyn added. "We're approaching the final match like it's a battle. We understand that three teams are competing for that fourth spot, which means the last round promises to be incredibly exciting."

The club is dealing with some injury concerns, however, as it was previously reported that a key Kryvbas defender recently underwent surgery in Finland, potentially impacting the team's defensive options for their crucial final match.
