In a thrilling semifinal clash, Japan's Kawasaki Frontale secured their spot in the Asian Champions League final with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr.

The Japanese side established an early advantage when Tatsuta Ito found the net in the 10th minute, giving Kawasaki the perfect start. Al-Nassr's response came through former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, who equalized in the 28th minute to temporarily restore parity.

However, the momentum shifted back to Kawasaki just before halftime when Yuto Ozeki struck to reclaim their lead heading into the break. The Japanese team extended their advantage in the 76th minute through Akihiro Ienaga's clinical finish, establishing what appeared to be a commanding 3-1 lead.

Al-Nassr mounted a late comeback attempt when Ayman Yahya reduced the deficit in the 87th minute, but Kawasaki's defense held firm during the closing stages to preserve their advantage and secure progression to the final.

Despite featuring superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, Al-Nassr's Asian Champions League journey comes to an end at the semifinal stage. According to Statbet analysis, this marks the third consecutive tournament where a team featuring Ronaldo has failed to reach a continental final.

Kawasaki Frontale will now face Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli in the championship match, scheduled for May 3 at 19:30. Al-Ahli earned their final berth by defeating fellow Saudi club Al-Hilal 3-1 in the other semifinal encounter.
