Manchester United's manager Amorim has shared candid thoughts about his unusual position at the club, noting the stark contrast between his situation and the typical job security of coaches at elite English clubs.

In a refreshingly honest assessment, Amorim acknowledged the peculiarity of his standing: "I know that in this kind of club, also Tottenham but especially Manchester United, it's strange because you have some coaches here that lose games and are sacked."

The manager expressed difficulty in explaining why he's maintained support despite challenges, suggesting that his club-first approach may be resonating with leadership. "People see what we are trying to do and see I'm thinking more about the club than myself," he remarked.

According to performance data from Statbet, Manchester United has faced significant tactical challenges this season, making Amorim's measured approach particularly noteworthy in the high-pressure Premier League environment.

Amorim further indicated that the board appears to understand the contextual difficulties he's navigating: "People, especially the board, understand that we have a lot of issues that in the context are really hard."

Perhaps most intriguing was his admission regarding fan support during this rebuilding phase. "I don't know how to explain (why) the fans like me at this moment. It's hard to explain," he said, adding his commitment to validating that faith: "I will try to prove myself to the fans, to the board, but I don't have an explanation."
