Genk
On 14 January 2015, Nath Boys Academy agreed to a €180,000 transfer deal with Belgian club Genk, a transaction completed the following day. Ndidi debuted in the Belgian Pro League on 31 January 2015 against Charleroi, marking the commencement of his professional club career. His tenure at Genk was distinguished by a remarkable long-range goal against Club Brugge during the Belgian League play-off, which was celebrated as the league's goal of the season.
Leicester City
Ndidi's prowess caught the attention of Premier League club Leicester City, leading to a £17 million transfer agreement with Genk on 3 December 2016, confirmed on 5 January 2017. He debuted for Leicester shortly after in an FA Cup match against Everton on 7 January 2017 and soon made his Premier League start on 14 January against Chelsea.
