1. FC Kaiserslautern

Trapp began his professional career with 1. FC Kaiserslautern, making his first-team debut in a DFB-Pokal match on 9 August 2008. Despite limited early appearances, Trapp secured his position as the club's second-choice goalkeeper by the 2010–11 season, eventually earning a starting role.
