GIF Sundsvall

Forsberg began his professional career with GIF Sundsvall, joining the first-team squad in 2009 when the club competed in Sweden's Superettan. By his second season in 2010, he had become a regular starter, appearing in all 30 matches. In 2011, he significantly contributed to Sundsvall's promotion to Allsvenskan by scoring 11 goals in 27 matches. Despite his efforts, the team was relegated after the 2012 season.

Malmö FF
