Club Career

Barcelona

Fati signed his first professional contract with Barcelona on 24 July 2019, committing to the club until 2022. His debut for the Barcelona first team came shortly after, on 25 August 2019, in a La Liga match against Real Betis. At just 16 years and 298 days old, he became the second-youngest player to appear for the club. Fati's breakthrough season was filled with record-breaking performances: he became Barcelona's youngest goalscorer on 31 August 2019, and set several records as the youngest player to achieve various feats in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Fati continued to shine in subsequent seasons, scoring a brace in his first start of the 2020–21 season under Ronald Koeman, and capturing the La Liga Player of the Month award for September 2020. However, his promising trajectory faced a setback when he suffered a serious knee injury in November 2020, sidelining him for several months. Upon his return for the 2021–22 season, Fati was entrusted with the iconic number 10 shirt at Barcelona, previously worn by Lionel Messi, a testament to the club's belief in his potential.

Loan to Brighton & Hove Albion

On 1 September 2023, Fati joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a season-long loan. He debuted for the club on 16 September against Manchester United. Fati scored his first goal for Brighton on 30 September 2023, against Aston Villa, and contributed another key goal in Brighton’s first-ever European competition victory over Ajax.
