Hamburger SV

Onana made his professional breakthrough with Hamburger SV in the 2. Bundesliga. He joined the club in mid-2020 and debuted in a competitive match on September 14, 2020, in the DFB-Pokal against Dynamo Dresden, where he scored his first professional goal, albeit in a 4–1 loss.

Lille
