Usyk is back in action: the absolute world champion returns to training

After a one-and-a-half-month layoff due to injuries sustained in the match against Tyson Fury, Olexander Usyk returns to training. The British Boxing Control Board decided to suspend the Ukrainian after his victory over Fury on May 18. Now, starting from July 3, the 37-year-old boxer can do his favorite thing again.

Historical triumph and consequences

Usyk won a victory over Fury by split decision of the judges, becoming the absolute champion of the world in super heavyweight. However, this triumph was not without consequences. In the video that Usyk recorded immediately after the fight, you could see numerous hematomas and bruises on his face. In addition, the boxer posted a photo of his hands three days after the fight, showing serious damage.

"It was one of the most difficult fights in my career. Tyson is a strong opponent, and I felt his every blow," Usyk admitted after the victory.

Loss of title and new challenges

Two months after the fight with Fury, Usyk lost the status of the absolute champion of the world due to the refusal of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt. This decision was made by the IBF without an opportunity for Usyk to appeal it, which caused outrage among fans and experts.

We are preparing for rematch

Despite the loss of the title, Usyk does not give up. Already on December 21, a rematch between the Ukrainian and Fury is planned. Usyk is actively preparing for this fight and promises that he will be even stronger this time.

"I plan to use new tactics and strategies to beat Tyson again. It will be an epic fight," Usyk said at a press conference.

Fury's problems

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury challenged the result of the fight on May 18, giving the reason for his defeat for the first time. In addition, the British got into a drunken scandal, which alarmed his camp and caused doubts about his preparation for the rematch.

A look into the future

Usyk's return to training and preparations for a rematch with Fury promise to be one of the most anticipated events in the world of boxing. Will the Ukrainian be able to defeat the British opponent again and regain the title? We will find out the answer to this question very soon.
