WWE legend Hulk Hogan has thrown his support behind Mike Tyson, predicting the boxing icon will triumph over Jake Paul despite Tyson's recent health scare.
Tyson's Health Scare Forces Fight Reschedule
The much-anticipated bout between Mike Tyson, 57, and Jake Paul, 27, faced an unexpected delay after Tyson experienced an ulcer flare-up while flying from Miami to Los Angeles. This health issue necessitated a rescheduling of their fight, which is now set for November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Hogan Sees the Same 'Bad Dog' Look in Tyson's Eye
Hulk Hogan, at 70, remains confident in Tyson's abilities. Reflecting on Tyson's fierce demeanor from his prime years in the 80s and 90s, Hogan insists that the legendary boxer still possesses that 'scary' fighter instinct.
"When he gets focused, he will seek and destroy," Hogan remarked. "I see that bad dog look in his eye now. It's like when you don't trust a bad dog, it might bite ya at any time. That's the look he's got. I remember that look from 25 years ago, it's kind of scary."
Fight Postponement Could Be a Blessing
Hogan believes that the postponement might actually benefit both fighters, ensuring they are at their peak performance levels. He anticipates a historic showdown, despite the age difference and contrasting boxing experience between the two contenders.
"I'm excited about it. I'm kind of glad it's rescheduled because I don't want any excuses. I want both men at 100 per cent," Hogan added. "And I've got a feeling this is gonna be the fight of the century, brothers. This is gonna be a good one."
The Clash of Generations
The upcoming fight pits the seasoned Tyson, a former heavyweight champion known for his devastating power, against the younger Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer who has only faced one professional boxer to date. Despite Paul's lack of extensive professional experience, his bout against Tommy Fury proved he can hold his own in the ring.
A Match to Remember
With both fighters now set to be at their best, fans and pundits alike are eagerly anticipating what could be one of the most thrilling boxing matches in recent history. Tyson's return to the ring, coupled with Paul's rising star, promises a spectacle that will captivate audiences worldwide.
