Oh No, Not Again! Rays' Infielder Benched by Injury

Just when you thought Brandon Lowe was heating up the bases, fate throws a curveball - the Rays' second baseman is on the 10-day IL, folks! Believe it or not, a Grade 1 right oblique strain snagged him right out of the game. And guess what? They can backdate his sit-out time to April 10, talk about a small win!

Lowe's been down this road before, tagging time off for back issues and even a season-pausing knee fracture last year. Seems like this guy's magnetic to ailments, but hey, his bat magic stays uninterrupted, lobbing 21 homers with a neat .231/.328/.443 last season.

In the meantime, Curtis Mead's grabbing the reins at second base, and Amed Rosario might step up too. It's a lineup shuffle for sure, with Lowe chilling with other injured mates like Taylor Walls and Jonathan Aranda.
