The Powerhouse Reunion

Gus Edwards is pumped and ready to flex his football finesse with the Los Angeles Chargers! After tackling his career-best stats last season, big Gus is hitting the ground running, and not just because of the sunny Cali weather. It's the Chargers' dynamo offensive coordinator Greg Roman who's got Edwards all starry-eyed. "I love this scheme," grins Edwards, reminiscing on the glory days with Roman back in Baltimore. The man's offense strategy? A perfect fit for Edwards' beast-mode on the ground.

"Roman wants to see the backs charge downhill, and that's my jam," says Edwards.

From Raven to Bolt

Although it's goodbye to his days with the Ravens and hello to the sunny side with the Chargers, Edwards feels right at home. Yep, it's all thanks to Charger's head honcho, Jim Harbaugh. Solid as ever, Edwards sees the resemblance to his old coach, John Harbaugh, like he never left the nest.

"Harbaugh's got this player-coach vibe that makes you wanna run through walls for the guy," chuckles Edwards.

And while the QB switcheroo from Lamar 'Lightning Legs' Jackson to Chargers' Justin Herbert might mean fewer running duels, Edwards is all in. He's the RB1 Chargers are betting on, and he's down for setting new ground records. "I'm built for it," declares an excited Gus, eyeing that bell-cow back status.
