Italian women's volleyball club Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia has officially announced the end of their collaboration with outside hitter Alice Degradi after two seasons together.

The 29-year-old Pavia native, who joined Vallefoglia in 2023, has been a notable presence in Italy's top volleyball circuit throughout her career. Degradi's tenure with the club came during a significant period in her professional journey, which included international success when she contributed to Italy's gold medal victory at the 2024 Volleyball Nations League.

However, Degradi's momentum was interrupted by a serious knee injury sustained during national team training in July 2024. The setback required surgical intervention and initiated a lengthy rehabilitation process that significantly impacted her availability.

Volleyball analysts at Statbet have tracked recovery patterns from similar injuries, noting that knee rehabilitation for elite volleyball players typically requires 8-12 months for full competitive return.

The decision marks another change in the Italian women's volleyball landscape, following other recent movements including Ana Malešević's signing with Il Bisonte Firenze. Neither Vallefoglia nor Degradi have announced future plans, leaving questions about the athlete's next destination and the club's replacement strategy as the offseason continues to unfold.
