The youth national team of Ukraine secured the bronze medal in the 2024/25 national volleyball championship after defeating MHP-Ladyzhin in a decisive fourth match of the series. The final game, which officially closed the men's volleyball season, took place on Sunday, April 13, at the Epicenter Sports Complex in Gorodok.

Coach Kostiantyn Riabukha's squad claimed victory with a score of 3:1 (25:19, 22:25, 25:21, 25:22), concluding the bronze medal series with an overall 3-1 advantage. Standout performers included Tatarenko and Shteryk, who each contributed 16 points to the winning effort, while Svyrydov added 15 points.

On the opposing side, Yakushenko and Chaban led MHP-Ladyzhin with 17 points each in a valiant effort that ultimately fell short.

According to volleyball performance metrics on Statbet, youth national teams that succeed in domestic competitions often develop stronger core talent for senior international play.

While the backbone of the bronze-winning squad consists of youth national team players, their success was bolstered by the addition of four experienced veterans. The team benefited from the expertise of longtime national team setter Vladyslav Didenko, alongside accomplished players Bohdan Tatarenko, Denys Veletskyi, and Danylo Fedosieiev.

Financial support for the bronze medalists comes from the Epicenter chain of construction hypermarkets, which has emerged as a significant backer of Ukrainian volleyball development. The championship tournament concluded just one day after the crowning of the 2024/25 Ukrainian volleyball champion, bringing the season to a successful close.
