Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis believes Daniel Dubois has everything needed to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in their highly anticipated rematch scheduled for July 19 in London.

In a recent interview, the legendary British boxer expressed confidence in his compatriot's abilities, suggesting that Dubois identified vulnerabilities in Usyk's style during their first encounter.

"I think Dubois is ready. He's a king slayer. He has the power," Lewis stated. "He's clearly placing great hopes on this fight. Obviously, Dubois saw Usyk's weaknesses in their first bout. When an opponent has weaknesses, you must capitalize on them."

Lewis also referenced the controversial moment from their first fight, adding: "I don't have great eyesight, but I would say the referee gave Oleksandr Usyk a pass after that hit."

The rivals recently participated in a face-off at Wembley Stadium that turned physical when Dubois pushed the Ukrainian champion, escalating tensions ahead of their rematch.

According to Statbet analytics, the upcoming bout has generated significant betting interest, with odds reflecting the improvements Dubois has made since their first meeting.

The pair first fought in August 2023 in Wroclaw, where Usyk claimed victory with a ninth-round knockout. The fifth round became particularly contentious when Dubois landed a body shot that sent Usyk to the canvas. The referee ruled it a low blow, giving the Ukrainian time to recover – a decision that enraged Dubois' team, including promoter Frank Warren who filed an unsuccessful appeal.

Despite the controversy, statistics from the first fight showed Usyk's dominance, though Lewis and others believe Dubois has improved significantly since then, setting the stage for what promises to be an explosive rematch at one of boxing's most iconic venues.
