Yakub Hlushak is finalizing preparations as Ukraine's women's volleyball team faces unbeaten Slovenia in their fourth Golden Euroleague match this Saturday. The crucial encounter is scheduled for June 7 at 19:00, with the "blue and yellows" looking to repeat last year's tiebreak victory.

"We remember our previous match against Slovenia was incredibly tight, but we managed to win the tiebreak. The team is focused on delivering another strong performance," – Hlushak might say about the upcoming challenge.

Slovenia enters the match in top form, having won all their Golden Euroleague-2025 matches so far. Their coach Alessandro Orefice has built a formidable squad featuring players like Eva Pavlovich Mori and Polona Frelich.

Interestingly, the last time these teams met in this competition, Ukraine edged a nail-biter that went the distance. That experience could prove valuable as Daria Shargorodska, Anastasia Krayduba, and their teammates prepare for what promises to be another closely contested battle.

Ukraine's roster also includes Stanislava Parfyonova, Anna Artyshuk, Oleksandra Milenko, and eight other players ready to take the court against the in-form Slovenians.

The match will be broadcast live on Suspilne Sport TV channel. Can Ukraine hand Slovenia their first defeat of the tournament? Saturday evening will give us the answer.
