Giovanni Leoni has secured a move to "Liverpool" from Italian side "Parma". The 18-year-old center-back completed his medical examination and signed a long-term contract at the AXA Training Centre, with the transfer pending international clearance and work permit approval.

"This is a dream come true for any young player. I'm ready to work hard and prove myself at one of the world's biggest clubs," the Italian defender might be thinking after this career-changing move.

Leoni brings impressive experience despite his young age, having already made 17 appearances in Serie A this season for "Parma", finding the net once. Standing at 194cm tall, the youngster offers significant aerial presence in defense - not bad for someone who's barely out of his teens!

Interestingly, the Rome-born talent began his professional journey quite early, debuting for "Padova" in March 2023 when he was just 16 years old. He then spent the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at "Sampdoria", where he played 12 matches and scored once before "Parma" acquired him permanently last summer.

The defender has also represented Italy at youth level, accumulating seven caps for the U19 national team. At "Liverpool", Leoni will wear the number 15 shirt as he begins this new chapter in his career.

Could this teenage defender become the next defensive star at Anfield? His early career trajectory certainly suggests he has the potential.
