Hungary's Dalma Galfi and Switzerland's Rebeka Masarova have secured their spots in the Catalonia Open WTA 125 final, scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 AM at CT Vic tennis club.

Galfi, currently ranked 121st in the WTA standings, advanced after a convincing victory over Russia's Oksana Selekhmeteva with a score of 6-3, 6-1. Despite a rain delay when the second set was tied 1-1, the Hungarian player maintained her composure and closed out the match in just an hour and fifteen minutes. This marks Galfi's third final appearance in recent competitions, following a loss in La Bisbal and a victory in Oeiras.

In the other semifinal contest, Masarova (ranked 153rd) displayed remarkable resilience by overcoming Belarus's Aliaksandra Sasnovich 2-6, 6-1, 6-3. The Swiss player, who represented Spain until this year, staged an impressive comeback after trailing 1-3 in the decisive set.

According to Statbet analysts, comebacks like Masarova's are particularly rare in WTA 125 events, occurring in less than 15% of matches when players face such deficits in the final set.

The doubles competition has already concluded, with the pairing of Bianca Andreescu and Aldila Sutjiadi claiming the championship. They defeated the duo of Leylah Fernández and Lulu Sun 6-2, 6-4 in a match that lasted just one hour.
