According to recent reports, Scott has been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles during a Lakers team event at the educational institution.
The accuser, Hayley Dylan, who has chosen to publicly identify herself rather than remain anonymous, was reportedly 15 years old at the time of the alleged incident. Dylan is suing Scott for sexual assault, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In her 20-page lawsuit, she states that she 'had never kissed a boy' before the alleged assault and claims that afterward, 'her innocence was shattered and her life changed forever.'
Scott, now 64, was married to Anita Scott at the time of the alleged incident. The couple later divorced in 2014 after a lengthy marriage. Through his legal representation, Scott has acknowledged sexual contact with Dylan but maintains he believed she was 18 years old.
His attorney, Linda Bauermeister, responded to the allegations stating: 'Our client is devastated by this allegation, during an event that took place in 1987. Our client believed that the plaintiff was over 18 years of age and had no idea that she would claim otherwise until 35 years later.'
