Colorado Rapids have made a significant move in the transfer market by acquiring promising winger Bryce Jamison from USL Championship side Orange County SC. The 19-year-old talent has penned a deal keeping him with the MLS outfit until 2027, with club options extending to 2029.
In an arrangement beneficial for both clubs, Jamison will return to Orange County SC on loan for the remainder of the 2025 campaign. Sources indicate the transfer commanded approximately $400,000, placing Jamison among the most expensive acquisitions in league history.
Rapids sporting director Fran Taylor expressed enthusiasm about the signing, stating: "Bryce is a player who exhibits the qualities and characteristics of a Rapids player. We are excited by his ability to unbalance teams with his vertical running, and his team-first mentality is something we look for in all of our players."
Despite not featuring for Orange County yet this season, Jamison established himself as one of the league's most exciting prospects in 2024, contributing five goals and five assists across 33 appearances. The versatile winger reportedly attracted interest from European clubs, including Orange County's partner club Feyenoord.

Orange County SC general manager Peter Nugent highlighted the club's development philosophy: "This move is a testament to our commitment at Orange County SC to provide a platform for young players to thrive, develop, and reach the next level."
Jamison joins the ranks of notable players developed by Orange County, including Kobi Henry, who previously transferred to Stade Reims. The USL Championship has increasingly become a fertile ground for talent, with players like Joshua Wynder and Fidel Barajas commanding seven-figure transfer fees in recent years.
